Key Players Update
The insideFPL Pre-Season Guide has a section for each of the 20 Premier League clubs in which we’ve analysed last season’s form through the season. The first update was to update the Key Player section for each team based on any latest team and transfer news. Each ‘Key Player’ is classed within the type of role he’ll fill for your team (e.g. Elite, Breakout, Value, etc.) as well as given a Rating in this class.
This gives you a really simple way to identify each clubs best fantasy players. Early season managers are of course piling in on players from Man Utd and Chelsea but once the season starts there’s always a few clubs who will raise eyebrows. The Guide will help you pinpoint their best fantasy options. What’s more, we’ll be updating the Guide until the transfer window closes with reflections on the first few weeks of the season.
Example GW1 Teams
With pre-season friendlies out of the way this week we’ve also included three example GW1 starting teams in the Guide. There are literally dozens of viable teams for the kick off, all with their own merits. Arguably what matters as much as the actual team is what happens next and how you manage your team. Accordingly we’ve designed each of the three teams with a different emphasis; a low risk team designed to make a solid start (and more importantly, not a bad one!), a team that puts more emphasis on a fast start but comes with added risk, and a third team that was put together directly from the player and squad structure we recommend throughout the Guide.
There’s not long to go now before the deadline now and if you thinking of picking up the Guide we’ll be honest and say – you won’t have time to read it all before the kick off! There’s a lot in there. As well as full reviews of each clubs and profiles for all the key players, there’s a bunch of analysis and strategy looking at historically successful fantasy teams and players and what makes them tick.
We believe this stuff will be useful right through the season and can really help keep you focused on expectations and what to look for from the different areas in your team. Plus, you can still dive straight into the GW1 Teams and Key Player sections to help you make you final player picks and tweak your strategy for the opening gameweeks.
